Photobiomodulation, also called LED therapy, is a technique aimed at inducing a tissue reaction following exposure to a specific light. How does a photobiomodulation session take place?

LED photobiomodulation consists of obtaining a cellular response after the action of a low-energy light. This results at the mitochondrial level in an increase in the production of cellular energy (ATP synthesis) and the number of cells. At the capillary level, the hair is denser and more resistant.

At the cutaneous level, the skin via its fibroblasts is activated and produces more collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

What are the steps of the session?

First, the doctor will make sure you are comfortable.

After putting on protective glasses, the session can begin. The session lasts approximately 30 minutes depending on the chosen medical protocol. It can enhance an injection treatment, for example mesotherapy or PRP.

Several sessions may be recommended. The procedure is not painful: the sensation is that of a very slight heat in the treated area.
